It wasn't until many years later, after pursuing other creative paths, that I realized the true art of creating jewelry. It was what led me into a heart space gene
Hello, I am Carolyn the creator of Ikigai Jewelry. I have always been a huge lover of beautiful handmade jewelry and took my first silversmith class when I was just a teenager. It wasn't until many years later, after pursuing other creative paths, that I realized the true art of creating jewelry. It was what led me into a heart space generating joy, fulfillment and connection. I spent eighteen months traveling around the western United States living out of my sprinter van while connecting to different artist communities, and it was then that I fully jumped into creating jewelry as my chosen work. I am now settled back in my home state of New Hampshire nestled into the White Mountains where I am continuously inspired by life as it unfolds around me.
A little history behind the word ikigai. It is a Japanese word that asks you, what brings you passion in life? The type of thinking, action and energy that emerges naturally when we are in the throes of creative expression or connection with others. When we are immersed in any endeavor that brings us into our hearts, that makes us come alive – and we are bringing ourselves fully to it instantly we become more generative, more magnetic and more dynamic in our ability to navigate challenges and discover pathways of joy.
